The past Idea Book, that is!
With the arrival of the new Idea Book last month, I figured it would be good to use up some of my retired paper packs to make room for the new ones! Conveniently, I had two projects that were perfect for the papers I wanted to use. Usually it works the other way around!
First up was a wedding gift I made for some friends. I'm fighting the urge to point out its many imperfections here. Let's just say I know a few things I'll do differently next time I use this layout!
Before sending it to them, I framed it in a white shadowbox type frame in keeping with the beachy theme. Footloose, from the Spring/Summer Idea Book, was perfect for this project because these two were set up with one another by relatives. They lived hundreds of miles apart, so it was a long distance relationship at first. When they did finally get to meet, they went on a beach vacation and totally hit it off. Now they're happily married. I adore a good love story!
Next up was a birthday card for a loved one who just happens to be an artist, writer and letterer of comic books. Of course, Superhero was a natural choice! I'm sure to him it was cheesy, but I hope he liked it anyway.
On to the new stuff! And I'm already thinking about Christmas cards, who's with me?!
